“Old Boys” Feature Film (In Development)

In 1962, a working-class English migrant struggling to belong in his new adoptive country of New Zealand joins a rural soccer team of fellow migrants with the impossible dream of making it to the country's most prestigious soccer tournament: The Chatham Cup. Battling against the class prejudice he thought he'd left behind (as well as his own personal demons), Irwin and his scrappy squad storm the tournament - making it to the final where they face an elite and undefeated city rival in what is still regarded as the greatest upset in the Cup's 100 year history.

Based on an unlikely true story….a period film with attitude.

When a joint Soviet-American nuclear test goes catastrophically wrong, a Soviet geochemist is framed for the death of an American colleague by the KGB handler she trusts as a father. Discovering that the visions she has been suppressing are a transmission from an unexplained satellite — older than human civilisation — she must find the only other person receiving it: the exiled father she betrayed to the KGB as a teenager, before both superpowers find him first.

The mystery of Contact and Arrival with the Cold War intrigue of The Lives of Others.

After ripping off the wrong man - a violent mob enforcer, two young grifters hijack a dying pentecostal tent revival to ‘disappear’, one playing a charismatic faith healer, the other his loyal fixer. But when an apparent genuine miracle upends their con, the fixer’s conscience is awakened igniting a moral war between them as the enforcer closes in.

Foxcatcher and The Master meets the road movie vibes of Almost Famous.
