Twenty years of making films has taught me that the hardest part of any project isn't the shoot, or when you’re in post, it's knowing what your film is really about, and having the courage to make THAT film instead of a safer version of it.

I work one-on-one with writers, directors and documentary makers who are serious about their work and ready to go deeper. Whether you're stuck in development, wrestling with structure, or trying to figure out your next move, this is a space to think clearly about your film and your career.

DAILIES - 30 Minutes

The raw first look. No agenda, no prep required, just bring the one thing you're wrestling with right now. A story decision, a structural problem, a pitch that isn't landing. We look at what you’ve got together and see what's there.

The right starting point if you've never worked with a consultant before, or you just need one sharp outside perspective.

THE ROUGH CUT - 60 Minutes

You've got something. It has shape, it has potential, but something isn't working and you can feel it. We go deeper here: into structure, voice, character, theme. What is this film really about? What does it need to become?

Best for filmmakers in active development or post-production who need a serious creative conversation.

PICTURE LOCK - Written Notes

You're close. Send me your film, script, treatment, or pitch document and I'll return detailed written notes. What's working, what's not, and what this project needs to fully realise its potential.

Ideal for documentary treatments, short film scripts, series or feature pitches heading toward submission for a funding round.

THE DIRECTOR'S CUT - Mentorship 6x1hr

The long game. A structured engagement over 6–10 weeks where we work on a project, or on you as a filmmaker from the inside out. Regular sessions, accountability, and a working relationship built around where you want to go.

Limited spots. For those ready to make a serious investment in their craft and career.

Book a session

  • Both. Online sessions run via video call and work just as well regardless of where you are in the world. If you're based in Brisbane or Southeast Queensland, in-person sessions are also available, just advise your preference in your booking email.

  • For Dailies, nothing. Just bring the question. For The Rough Cut, it helps to send me a brief outline of your project a day or two beforehand so we're not spending the first ten minutes on context. For Picture Lock, send your document at the time of booking and I'll come prepared.

  • Start with Dailies. It's designed exactly for that uncertainty, a low-commitment way to have a real conversation and figure out together what kind of support would actually be useful. Most people know within the first fifteen minutes.

  • Yes I work across both scripted and unscripted.

  • Life happens. Cancellations with more than 48 hours notice can be rescheduled at no cost. Within 48 hours, the session fee is non-refundable, but it can be applied as credit toward a future booking.
